Bicycle-Powered Authentic Corn Tortillas

Bicycle-Powered Authentic Corn Tortillas Come to Lakefield Farmers' Market

Next Thursday, August 25, The Lakefield Farmers' Market will be hosting ChocoSol's Mexican inspired, bicycle-powered, Fresh Corn Tortilla Project.  Using local heirloom corn and a Slow Food mentality, this project will be serving tortillas and quesadillas the way they were intended to be eaten; from nixtamalized corn, freshly ground, freshly prepared with local organic toppings, and of course freshly eaten. These gluten-free delicacies are showcasing the bounty from the field to the fork, as all of what will be served is from a diverse polyculture garden.  Come see an amazing display of bicycle powered, low-emission technologies that are used to prepare these delicious authentic corn tortillas.
